ARTIST
As a spoken word artist, poet, and pianist, Marina de Seta creates artistic works that express the need of action toward the urgencies of the contemporary world through kindness and vulnerability. Her texts arise from the desire to unite, connect, and create a collective “Us”. They offer images of humanity reconnecting in authentic encounters with itself and with Nature. While her doctoral research aims to integrate the emotional into politics and promote profound change in how we inhabit the world and cultivate relationships with the living, her artistic creations translate it into action. Her artistic practice is also an intimate journey of rebellion against limiting beliefs and an exploration of familial heritage, nourished by the experience of migration. She explores notions of cultural identity, belonging to a territory, and embodiment.
